Retiring the Mainframe?
January 21, 2016
This is an all day event
Spark Centre CGI, Rotterdam
Why retire the mainframe
For many clients we have demonstrated that retiring the mainframe platform can save up to 90% of its associated operating expenses, reduce time for competitive upgrades and more. Today’s modernization paths enable businesses to keep all of their applications intact and can trigger the simplification of the legacy portfolio—all without investing a single dollar to fund the adoption of a far more competitive platform. Is this too good to be true?
The goal of this seminar
In this seminar we will share our experiences with several client cases and we will show you that our modernization approach migrates mainframe-based applications to open and cost effective platforms and has generated beside large cost savings the following benefits for our clients:
- Minimal disruption – The whole migration was done with minimal disruption to the critical business processes;
- Improved response time – Processing capacity was increased and provisioning lead-time reduced;
- Increased flexibility – By becoming vendor independent and opening the possibility of technology changes.
