Migrating to SAP S/4HANA

Most SAP customers are in the investigation or planning phase for their migration to SAP S/4HANA, whilst new SAP customers can adopt SAP S/4HANA "out of the box". Both new and existing customers will doubtless be looking how "where" they are going to run SAP Applications; e.g. in the cloud from a IT-Service Provider like SAP (SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud - HEC), On Premise or in a Hybrid model. Once the architectural decisions have been made then transformation project begins.

SAP Output and Print Management

The delivery of documents, printing and scanning from SAP traditionally relies on lots of Print Servers (typically Windows Print Servers), and also often includes printer specific hardware such as DIMM’s for the actual printers. This infrastructure is unnecessary, costly to maintain and complex to migrate to run in “a cloud model”. LRS actively working with companies to remove this print infrastructure so they can standardize their print services “in the cloud”.

Essentially SAP customers are using the move to SAP S/4HANA to improve and streamline their print and scan services as well as remove costly infrastructure. A typical SAP environment is highly customized, making the transition to S/4HANA even more costly if all those customizations need to transition as well. All the more reason to eliminate those elements that add to the cost and complexity of the IT infrastructure in order to have a clean break.
