LRS Shares Healthcare Document Perspectives in HISTalk Interview

SPRINGFIELD, IL – February 26, 2013 –One of the healthcare industry’s leading sources of news and information recently interviewed John Howerter, Senior Vice President at Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. (LRS). A transcript of the interview is available at the HISTalk website.

Unlike many news sources, HISTalk is independently-written and maintained by an active IT professional who works for a non-profit hospital. Together with a small staff and several guest columnists, the anonymous “Mr. HISTalk” seeks to provide objective information on a variety of healthcare-related topics. According to his website, “Being anonymous also gives me an excuse to keep a distance from vendors, sponsors, and muckety-mucks. I do not meet with people, I do not take their calls, and I don’t schmooze.”

In the interview, John Howerter answered a variety of questions about printing challenges in the healthcare environment and commented on medical record trends. “Prior to the interview, I didn’t know what kind of questions to expect,” says Howerter. “However, just minutes into the call, I could tell that the interviewer had faced many of the same output challenges that our customers do every day. Documents are extremely important to timely patient care.”
