Reduce Costs or Improve IT Service Levels? LRS Webinars Will Show Companies How to Achieve Both

SPRINGFIELD, IL - November 3rd, 2011 – Levi, Ray & Shoup, Inc. (LRS) announces a webinar series, which will present findings from the IDC white paper sponsored by LRS "Business Value of Output Management." Scheduled for 15th November 2011 at 14:00 GMT and 16th November 2011 at 12:00 EST, the webinars are titled "Significantly Reduce IT Service and Infrastructure Costs through Print Infrastructure Optimization."

The webinars will feature Fred Broussard, a Research Director in the System Infrastructure Software group at IDC and one of the principal analysts responsible for the white paper. Fred will be joined by John Howerter, LRS Senior Vice President of Product Sales and Marketing, and will also interview an LRS customer.

The webinars will discuss the wider landscape of Output Management and then concentrate on the report and the metrics from the customer implementations analyzed. These metrics show where and how much cost saving was achieved by implementing LRS software. IDC's research report concludes that customers receive a three-year benefit of $120,764 for each 100 printers managed by LRS software.

"Business Value of Output Management" has been independently researched and published by the IDC in conjunction with LRS' customers. Some of the key findings were that the LRS solution:

  • Reduced IT labor costs through improved staff productivity
  • Enhanced user productivity by reducing downtime and help desk issues
  • Lowered overall print services costs
  • Generated a 3 year return on investment (ROI) of 310% and a payback period of less than 6 months

LRS software achieves these goals by enabling large enterprises to greatly simplify the IT infrastructure needed to capture, store, control, and reliably distribute their document output. Be it an insurer running a claims application on a mainframe, a manufacturing company running SAP® applications on UNIX servers, or a bank running a virtualized or cloud environment - large enterprises rely on LRS. LRS keeps these and other businesses running with robust, highly scalable software that captures, stores, and controls the huge volumes of document output they generate and reliably delivers it to hundreds of distributed locations regardless of format.

"Our customers have improved the efficiency of their operations and saved a significant amount of money by focusing on Output Management. If companies are just thinking of paper, ink and printer cost savings, that’s just the tip of the iceberg,” concludes John. "In some client situations, more than 80% of the savings lie outside obvious output consumables."
