Migrating to SAP S/4HANA
Most SAP customers are in the investigation or planning phase for their migration to SAP S/4HANA, whilst new SAP customers can adopt SAP S/4HANA "out of the box". Both new and existing customers will doubtless be looking how "where" they are going to run SAP Applications; e.g. in the cloud from a IT-Service Provider like SAP (SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud - HEC), On Premise or in a Hybrid model. Once the architectural decisions have been made then transformation project begins.
SAP Output and Print Management
The delivery of documents, printing and scanning from SAP traditionally relies on lots of Print Servers (typically Windows Print Servers), and also often includes printer specific hardware such as DIMM’s for the actual printers. This infrastructure is unnecessary, costly to maintain and complex to migrate to run in “a cloud model”. LRS actively working with companies to remove this print infrastructure so they can standardize their print services “in the cloud”. Essentially SAP customers are using the move to SAP S/4HANA to improve and streamline their print and scan services as well as remove costly infrastructure.
Don't migrate print servers - eliminate
In conjunction with SAP, LRS has developed a fully integrated, web-based software solution that replaces nearly all of a customer’s existing incumbent print server infrastructure and specialized hardware. This results in:
- Significant cost savings for hardware and infrastructure
- Simplified SAP operations, implementation- and consolidation projects
- Automated document workflow and intelligent document bundling
- Reduction in administration and helpdesk resources
- Optimized SAP printing including SAP label printing & SAP barcode printing
- Highest stability and performance for mission critical SAP print jobs
- Fully UNICODE compliant
LRS® Output Management for SAP - VPSX/OutputManager - is platform- and device-independent, so it won’t matter if you want to change printer providers, upgrade Windows versions, or start using virtualized desktops. LRS software can be extended to include your entire output landscape from mainframe systems through all open systems applications to create a single standard middleware platform for output.
"In the Cloud"
LRS software is certified to run within SAP’s HEC (HANA Enterprise Cloud) Environment and also work with partners such as T-Systems, Fujitsu, DXC and ATOS to deliver the LRS solution as a service. LRS will continue to support the SAP NetWeaver certified (BC-XOM interface) for the SAP ERP 6.0 or SAP R/3.
